Here is a heads up for any of you seeking to hear me doing poetry out and about.
Join ME and 7 dynamic artist taking the stage at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Downtown Dallas, TX next Thursday, October 9th, 7:30pm. The show is titled, “WILL A REAL MAN TAKE THE MIC” and is hosted by B. Randall, so you already know. (Call 214-290-4980 or The Box Office: 214-743-2400)
I plan on doing pieces from a new series, Black Boy Noise, and have every intention of doing bad things with words and actions from behind the mic! This is the only performance before my induction into the Literary HOF in November so please bring a friend with you and enjoy these fantastic poets and performances. I will have copies of the KenteCloth anthology on hand and hoping to have some other materials available for you to pick up and enjoy.
